RAT RACE IN THE CHURCH
The church is God's sample of his kingdom on Earth. Therefore we the followers of Christ (Christians), should endeavour to be TRULY brotherly and sisterly in the actual sense of it.
Be kind, patient, long-suffering and encouraging to your church family members, this is a command not an option. Every SEALED child of God should continue to shed the old nature in them and pursue holiness (without which NO man shall see God) in order to manifest the FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
Galatians 5:22-23, 24- 26
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of VAIN GLORY, provoking one another, envying one another.
The rat race in the church to please the pastor-in-charge and to upstage others and even show BUS(Y)NESS is amazing! Who should the Christian please? God almighty of course; the one who sees in secret and rewards accordingly.
The spiritually blind minister / pastor/ shepherd who leads the church will continually fuel this kind of behavioural fire, by loudly 'patting' the 'busy bees' on the head and even preaching openly against and putting down, those who he 'believes ' are not BUSY FOR THE LORD!
The divinely wise LEADER will encourage ALL sheep and give thanks to the Lord always for the lives of those who dedicate their resources and time to the work of the Lord not particularly mentioning names because if done without wisdom, he could speak amiss and miss the Kingdom to come just for hurting the hearts that are silently working to build the church in their own way and with deep commitment.
The Bible outlines the various ways we all can be busy for God's Kingdom to be ENLARGED... some are encouragers; freely and willingly supporting many with their time and resources, these are not often PHYSICAL attributes that you can see and 'applaud'(not necessary if it is for God, Christ did not ask to be applauded for His inestimable work on the Cross)
To rightly put this hypocrisy and boot-licking, it is at an appalling level! This kind of behaviour is not godly, it is a sign of insecurity in a 'Christian' who should be daily dying to be renewed; to please the Lord in all His ways, thoughts and speech.
1 CORINTHIAN 12
Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. 2 You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. 3 Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
For anyone enduring this flambouyancy of attitude and behaviour, with a grin and long-suffering amongst brethren who sometimes even back-stab him in order to look good to the congregation and church leadership, I applaud your endurance and growing thick-skin and pray for divine courage for you to FOCUS CONTINUALLY on Christ, the author and finisher of your faith.
God is good, all the time! Let the weak say, 'I am strong' and the poor say 'I am rich'!
