Poetry
What shall we ever say?
Should we proceed to sin?
Nonsense if we obey,
Never let Satan win.
Sin has caused us to die,
Under its influence;
When we cheat, steal and lie,
We drop our defense.
Do you not know that all,
Were baptized into Christ;
Into His death to fall,
No longer be enticed.
As baptized in His death,
We were placed in His tomb;
Then given a new breath,
Rebirth out of the womb.
Power from the Father,
With a new life to live;
Christ as our Brother,
Knowing God will forgive.
We become united,
Through our death with Him;
And have been invited,
To share spiritual vim.
The one we use to be,
With Him was crucified;
So that we are sin free,
If we choose to abide.
We are absolved from sin,
But if we died with Christ;
Why still corrupt within,
As we become enticed.
Satan desires to take,
As a constant conflict;
Tries to make you forsake,
Deceive to contradict.
Consider yourself dead,
But power for living;
Through Christ in being fed,
With prayer in forgiving.
