“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?” Luke 16:10-12 NIV
How many people in your life can you truthfully say that you can trust no matter what the circumstance? I would venture to say that for most of us, the list is very short. Trust is truly desired, yet, much too often not found.
The first verse in today’s reading is so true, both in worldly matters, and in spiritual matters as well. The only way to be trusted with much is to first be trusted with little.
Do you long for trust? I know exactly where one can go to find trust which will never end and never fail. That trust can be found in Jesus Christ. Jesus loves us so much that He willingly sacrificed Himself on our behalf so that we might live eternally. He did not avoid His mission. He went to the cross for all of us. If you cannot trust Jesus Christ, then there is no one who you can truly trust. If you put your trust in Him, you will find that which is most evasive, someone you can truly trust. You may rest assured that Jesus can be trusted with every part of your life. Remember, He knows what is best for you. Who better to put your total trust in than Jesus Christ!
