How many times I cannot count, that all my earthly eyes could see.
Were the actions of other people that I cannot change, so let good works Lord, start in me.
Good works should not have to be propagated by others actions towards myself, or my family.
Kind words or deeds should come from within, from a love for Christ, so let it start in me.
If I would but take time to consider the useless sinner I was, full of carnal, sinful deeds.
Then I would rush more quickly at any opportunity the Lord gives, so Lord let it start in me.
When harsh words are spoken and my guard appears to have been dropped down below my knees.
Help me to remember the gracious words of our Lord Jesus, and then Lord let it start in me.
People all around you every day and they know not the one in whom you believe.
We need the Lord to help us be mindful that we are ambassadors for Christ, and let it start in me.
Are you willing to offer yourself as a living sacrifice so that this world has opportunity to see?
Or do you think living only for self will yield a desired crop for harvest? Lord, let it start in me.
Maybe someone on the job today, or someone in the store treated you with malice, or spitefully.
Help me to remember the deeds of our Lord Jesus, how he opened not his mouth, and let it start in me.
My wife only has one opportunity for a good husband, so I need help every day to be what I’m supposed to be.
I can’t change other people’s actions, but I can follow the example of Christ myself, so let it start in me.
My children have one opportunity for a Godly father, so I need to seize each moment and help them to see.
That the abundant life is within their reach, if they only desire it for themselves, and Lord let it start in me.
To be able to be an example for Christ should thrill us, and we should take this opportunity to serve very seriously.
This life is a time trial, and many of my days were spent exalting a different king, but now Lord, let it start in me.
Christ perfect life, his sinless perfections, his wonderful example, redeeming me from a life of sin, assuring me the victory.
Is certainly worth me trying to promote Christianity and further the gospel by letting others see Christ in me, Lord let it start in me.
