Search Him with all of your heart.
A.W.Tozer was one of the most blessed servants of the Lord, serving the Lord with power and passion. However seeing the Christians of his time this is what he said about them:
“Christians don't tell lies they just go to church and sing them.” A.W. Tozer
When we, in our worship services, sing this blessed song….
I want to know You,
I want to hear Your voice
I want to know You more.
I want to touch You,
I want to see Your face
I want to know You more.
“Do we really mean it?”, “do we really want to know Him more?”, “Is there truly a deep hunger and thirst for Him in our life?”
Most of the protectors of God’s law (the priests-Pharisees & Sadducees) at the time of Jesus, were actually not doing what God wanted them to do, in fact most of them didn’t know the Lord God, for had they known Him, they would have seen Him in and through our blessed Lord Jesus Christ, and thus they always questioned the authority of Jesus and left no stones unturned to take Him to the cross.
“If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.” John 7:17 NKJV
It could be fatal for us if we do not have the hunger and thirst for God in our life.
This is what Paul, who knew the Lord by revelation, by the experiences of the miracles the Lord worked through Him and by the mighty anointing of the Lord which He had - expresses his desire for more of Him..
“Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.”
Philippians 3:8-10 NKJV
“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV
“Our search and quest for God will successfully meet its fulfillment if it fulfills the condition – search Him with all of your heart.”
