Jesus Christ is eternal, He existed before Mary was born. "Before Abraham was born, I am." (John 8:58)
Jesus Christ exists with the Father, and the Spirit, They are One. "I and the Father are One." (John 10:30)
Jesus Christ existed at Creation "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning." (John 1:1-2) "Through Him all things WERE MADE; without Him nothing was made that has been made." (John 1:3)
From these verses we prove that Mary CANNOT be the mother of God. God, being Divine in Three Persons cannot have a "mother" who never existed with Him at creation. Mary was created, she was human, she was born, and she died and decayed like all human beings of MORTAL existence.
Genesis 1:26 tells us that when God made man, He spoke thus:
"Let Us make man in Our image, in Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, ..."
Adam was the first human being, Mary was not. God already existed before Mary was even born. Mary is not the mother of God, she was the mother of the human part of Christ but not the Divine part - His Being God. God is the Father, the Son, and the Spirit in One (Matthew 28:19)
God does not exist separately as Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit - They are One and never separate.(Colossians 1:15-20) "God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him.." And in Colossians 2:9 "For in Christ, the fullness of God lives in bodily form..."
Therefore Jesus Christ is ETERNAL- God is eternal, Mary is not. God is Omnipresent ("in Him all things hold together") Mary is NOT. God is Omniscient (all-knowing) Mary is NOT.
God is PERFECT, Mary herself needed a Savior. (Luke 1:47)
Mary was NOT a perpetual virgin, she was the mother of Jesus' brothers (John 7) and Matthew 13:55 "aren't His brothers James (who wrote the Book of James) Joseph, Simon, and Jude" (who wrote the Book of Jude) and had daughters (Matthew 13:56)
Mary died and does not live forever so she cannot pray for us, only Jesus Christ, the Son of God prays for us.(Hebrews 7:24-25)
Nowhere in the teachings of Jesus Christ did He tell us to call Mary the "mother of God" or to pray to her or honor her. In fact, Jesus praised only John the Baptist as the one greatest born among women.
