Poetry
I remember well
The day they fell
Two giants in the sky
Towers made from glass and steel
A wonder to the eye
Though only columns made by hands
They inspired the hearts of men
But some saw them as targets
The faces of a nation’s sin
Symbols of power
Objects of strength
To our nation they stood so proud
A plot was born to bring them down
And to their destruction they vowed
Two planes were turned into missiles
Peaceful technology brought to bear
No one saw the threat they posed
As killers stalked the air
Then deadly aim was taken
Two arrows thru the heart
They pierced the souls of all of us
And forever left their mark

What an inspirational poem! Have you tried sending it out to editors. Check out a writers market guide. From what I understand there should be one for poetry. Otherwise the Writers Market has listings that accept poetry submissions. Good luck.
