Prayers
Dear God,
How do I deal with the huge “to do” list thrown at me each day?
I bet the answer involves talking to you first and then prioritizing according to what glorifies you.
Sometimes I get overwhelmed with all the people, possessions and activities that need attention. When I sit with you quietly, not doing anything, you speak to me.
You say:
“My Dear Child,
I am the one who gives you all your friends and family, possessions and activities.
These are GIFTS, not meant to frustrate you, but delight you.
Having many friends is a blessing. Enjoy them. For a holiday, if you don’t have time to buy a present and a card, call or get together, don’t feel stressed. You can still show my love. Explain your predicament of a time bind and then let them know why they are a blessing in your life. Remind them how much I love them. That is what is important - My love.
With your possessions, the same lesson applies. The amounts of possessions I give my people varies. Be happy that you have a house, transportation and assets. Instead of feeling frustrated that your car needs an oil change and when to fit that into your schedule, feel grateful you have a car. Some of my people only have a bicycle or must walk for transportation.
I am the one giving you money to save for retirement. If a business issue arises from the transaction, just attend to it without complaining. You do not know my plans. I may want to reach a non-believer through your interaction with that company. Or I may want to build your patience and perseverance for something on your horizon. My ways are not your ways. Please do not second guess my plans for you.
Isaiah 55:8-9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Cherish the gifts I give you. Be thankful and you will find my peace.
Colossians 3:15
“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. “
It pleases me that you desire an attitude adjustment and trust me for the answers. Have a great day with me!
Love,
God”

This is so beautiful. I can feel the love and passion in your words. Just a tiny suggestion in the beginning you use the phase that need attended to and you might want to change it to that need attention or need attending. I love God's answer back to you. I so can picture him doing just that. It's beautiful and gives me goosebumps.
Thank you Shann! Also thank you for your word suggestion which I incorporated.
