While I was at the YMCA today, I spent some time in the steam room. As I was sitting in the foggy mist, my mind began to wonder. This is something I tend to do. It occurred to me that this steam room is part of God's creation as everything else is. I thought very simply how God uses even a steam room to cleanse body, mind, and spirit. Too, I thought as I came out of the steam room that all the physical toxins, as well as, anything else in my life that was affecting my spiritual life in a negative way all went down the drain. After the steam room, I showered and left anything bothering me behind me.
I realize that I cannot do God's job; and if I am about my business, God will handle everything and everyone else in my life. I am absolutely certain that He does not need my help and that He will not work when I am in His way. So, I was renewed and refreshed at the Y, and now I am ready to press on and to remain out of God's way in every aspect of my life. © Juanita Pittman-Brown
