I am just a sparrow
Falling to the ground
Because I met a raven in the sky
While I was flying high
And I think my wings are broken
And I know my heart is failing
And there is light I cannot see
This time it may be too far to fall.
But you said that you would save me
And you said that you would see
You said you'd always know just where I am
And I hope that you will save me
Before my feathers touch the ground
Though I cannot see your open palm
And I cannot feel you near
I remember what you promised
That you hold me very dear
And if I cannot see you
I hope that you see me
And maybe you are waiting
To catch me as I call
For I feel a breath of wind
Something gentle breaks my fall
Quiet and still I'm laying
In the softness of your hand
And my broken wings are healing
As you lift my heart from land.
You place me on the wing of an eagle
And carry me with love.
Not one sparrow falls.......
