Poetry
The roots grew strong
They grew deep
But that did not stop
My need to weep
I’ve lived my life
Yes at times it's been hard
Being, took the innocence
I didn't make it unscarred
I could not have been
Or grown to just be
A face among the lost
I didn't, Jesus set me free
He saved my mournful soul
There is the need for tears
The Friend I found in Him
Is enough, beyond my years

I really love this, I think it was on one of your pieces before that i asked if i could include it in my church newsletter and you gave me permission but since there are several people with your name I wanted to double-check.
Thank you for this very beautiful poem and the inspiration it brings. God bless you more each day!
I keep remembering a poem I wrote - about if all were good and nothing bad, we'd never know the good we had....it is those tough times and tears which make us more than fluff and give a depth and richness we couldn't ever get otherwise, eh? SOON and very SOON! Maranatha
"...Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh." Luke 6:21 / Love you Jude!
