With a spring in our step, we started our walk so casual and true.
Not looking behind, but enjoying the view.
With each new step and a smile or two, we thought to ourselves,
Let’s go for a walk and see what flowers bloom.
As spring turned into summer,
our walks grew longer and our talks grew stronger.
Not watching the road, we settled into a slow easy pace.
Let’s go for a walk at our favorite place.
As fall brings change and new color to trees,
We knew our once casual walk had changed and we believed.
Even in the cold of winter, our walks never faltered,
Though slipping and sliding,
our route rarely altered.
We were committed to each other,
but should have been committed for our crazy winter night walks.
As winter melted into spring you asked me one day,
“Would you walk with me forever?”
I replied, “My friend and my partner, I’m excited to say,
Yes, I’ll walk with you forever and a day.
Sweetie, let’s go for a walk.”

As we walk through all seasons, we never walk alone.
One who is greater walks all along.
He asks only this: Come follow me.
Let’s go for a walk.
