Every private moment I am amazed to find
My thoughts are filled with you.
Gone are other things that once occupied my mind
And there is nothing that I can do.

Much about you is still unclear.
Each little discovery is a spiritual song,
A treasure I’ll always hold dear.
My heart is in a crazy spin
My emotions are running wild
The excitement reaches a climatic din,
Like Christmas to a child.
Uncontrollable giggles burst from my heart
As I think of your love for me.
You’ve cut the bonds of loneliness
Your love has set me free.
I can’t believe I lived my life to now
So empty until I found you.
You’ve given me purpose and I plan somehow
To mould my whole future around you.
I don’t want to breathe another breath
If my day doesn’t have you in it.
I’d rather face a certain death,
Than lose you for a minute.
I want to spend every waking moment with you
I yearn for you when we’re apart.
I want to be completely filled by you,
For you to possess all within my heart.
At times I am overcome with joy,
Yet at times I’m blinded by the fear
That my own shortcomings and lack of faith
Could cost me all that I now hold dear.
But for now, this time, this moment
I thank the Heavenly stars above,
That I am, Oh, so fortunate
To be the object of your love.
The giggles have turned to laughter
We now know each other well.
Sometimes no words could eloquently say,
What a loving glance can tell.
Our talk has turned from frivolous things
To matters more serious in tone.
We’re soaring high on friendship’s wings
Gone are the days of being alone.
You promised always to nurture me
In sickness and in health.
You promised you would provide for me,
Whether from poverty or in wealth.
You promised to protect me
From any danger that comes my way.
You promised to love and cherish me
For eternity from this day.
You promised you would stay with me
Through the good times and the bad.
You promised to love and comfort me
When I’m happy and especially when I’m sad.
You know my faults are many
Yet you love me anyway
You could have found a more perfect woman,
Yet you married me today!
The greatest gift ever granted me
Was to be chosen as your bride
No achievement I could ever accomplish,
Would fill me with more pride.
To be your one and only
Always to remain pure and true
To obey you and to serve you
Are my sacred vows to you.
To exalt you and to respect you,
To place you first in my life
To be the helper that completes you
Is my honour as your wife.
I will walk behind you in submission
And follow whichever path you lead.
I will walk beside you in friendship,
And support you in hours of need.
This is the beginning of an adventure.
Who knows what surprises we’re yet to find?
Boldly, we step out to face tomorrow
Your hand lovingly holding mine.
The day that we joined together
Two lives became united as one.
I knew I had found the meaning of life.
A new era had just begun.
The dark clouds that once covered my soul
Were lifted to reveal a glorious sun,
And although I knew there’d be battles ahead,
The war had already been won.
As I came out of the waters of baptism
And arose to a life anew,
I knew that your Holy Spirit had filled me
And all of your promises are true.
For you are the Lord, Messiah,
The Christ and saviour to all
Who come to the wedding banquet
The moment they hear you call.
