In many places around the world there are large numbers of Bible believing Christians being persecuted for their faith...many even tortured and put to death. Both the locations and the numbers are rapidly increasing at alarming rates. Since those atrocities are mostly happening elsewhere on the planet, then, it is quite easy to look the other way and distance ourselves from those reports when living within the relative safety of our own comfort zones.
However, I believe the day is coming when extreme violence targeting Bible believing Christians will spread into our own cities and neighborhoods. If you don't think it could happen here...then, think again!
We are already seeing a growing hatred for God and the Bible, and persecution against those who support the Scriptures. Today, any statement that Jesus is the only Way, the only Truth, and the only Life is considered exclusive and intolerant. Even the public mention of Jesus' Name is offensive to many.
Biblical Christianity is being kicked out of the public square, our schools, the government, our military, the legal system, and much more. But yet, pagan cult practices and teachings have been allowed to gain a presence there in the name of diversity. Also, many of our churches carefully dance around the subjects of sin, accountability, salvation, and the narrow road that Jesus taught...for fear of offending someone, and/or losing their tax exempt status.
There are some communities in the USA that have recently forced home based Bible studies to shut down...citing violations of city codes, ordinances, and failure to obtain cost-prohibitive conditional use permits.
We occasionally hear of Bible preaching churches in our nation being vandalized and/or torched by radicals acting out their hatred for Christianity. Armed gunmen have entered churches to kill Pastors and those who are there to worship.
As if it were the problem, Biblical Christianity is rapidly being marginalized and controlled because of its “offensive and dangerous” belief system causing the hatred and violence to occur. Our government department of homeland security has already declared that fundamental Bible believing Christians pose a security threat to society as domestic terrorists, and must be carefully watched for the common good.
I believe that churches preaching Scripture as it must be preached will one day be forced to either change their message or cease to operate. Of course, many churches today won't be affected because they already teach watered-down, feel-good, fluffy versions of what they consider to be the gospel. Sadly, those apostate churches are filled to overflowing with "Christian-in-name-only" people who never hear gospel Truth spoken from the pulpit.
I also believe it is only a matter of time before deadly violence toward Bible believing Christians becomes common place here in the USA. Biblical Christians would likely need to be isolated or neutralized in some manner for the "security" of all. They would need to be branded and treated as terrorists or extremists by government mandate...initiated in part by so-called "Christians" demanding that their liberal agendas and theologies not only be accepted, but also be embraced by all.
Are you prepared for the day when that might happen? Suppose government officials or a law enforcement agency suddenly showed up at your front door and demanded to know with a simple yes/no answer whether you were a fundamental Bible believing Christian. Knowing that isolation or even death would likely be in store for you with a "yes" answer, then, how would you respond?
That would certainly be a serious "rubber-meets-the-road" question concerning the sincerity of your faith commitment, wouldn’t it? Would you deny your faith to save your own skin, or the lives of your family members? Or...would you be willing to die for Him Who died for you?
Matthew 10:33 NASB
But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
Come quickly, Lord Jesus!
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
