Dearest Pursuer of My Heart, Defender of My Honor, My Hero, My Lover, My Friend,
How can I find the right words to express what your loving me has meant to my life? How it is transforming me into the beautiful virtuous woman I had always dreamed of being. Is there a dictionary in existence which offers the words, which I struggle to find to express the depth of my gratitude for the Glory of your awesome love for me?
You have been at my side for the whole of my life, watching over me, day and night, never leaving me. When I laugh you are there laughing with me, when my heart aches, you are there holding my hand through it. When I am a winner you are there my biggest fan, cheering for me. When I fail or have a disappointment, you are there comforting me. When I feel alone, I can lay my head against your chest while you wrap your loving arms around me. When I am afraid you shield me from a sometimes cold, uncaring and unforgivable world.
Even when I wandered away from you to seek another, even then you loved me enough to give me space to decide what I wanted. Upon my imminent return, there you were waiting patiently for me with open arms, welcoming me back. You kissed my dirty face and wiped away my tears. You did not even say “told you so”. You just blanketed me in your warm embrace.
You have never given up on me and quite frankly; I do not believe you ever will. One immutable universal truth is your love never fails me.
When I am near you I am all lit up inside. I have pep in my step, a blush on my brown cheeks, a sparkle in my smile and a gleam in my eye. I possess a glow that illuminates my countenance. I believe it is joy. That is something Revlon could never market and I do not have to go home and wash it off at night.
Your love is like silk touching me gently from the inside out, bringing light to the dark places. It is your unconditional acceptance of me which moves me. I delight in being with you. I want you to know that regardless of all my flaws and imperfections, I love you too.
