OBERSERVATIONS
Pondering what we are seeing via the media with all the unrest all over the world, primarily the Middle East, and remembering the scriptures.
Jesus said "there will be wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, pestilence, etc...but these are the beginnings of sorrow. (Matt 24)
Just my thoughts: The real war started in the heavens when the anointed cherub, Lucifer decided he would be like God. He became satan when he was kicked out of heaven. To me he is the spirit of antichrist. The war between God's kingdom and satan's kingdom has been in process since then. We have witnessed the antichrist spirit that took over Adolph Hitler and the havoc he caused. Others have been taken over by the antichrist spirit and the population has suffered because of it. Pride, wanting to be "IN CHARGE", MY WAY OR NO WAY attitude has destroyed many.
The devil (satan) comes to steal, kill and destroy so I am sure each of us can identify with his methods as we watch what is happening all around us. Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Let's get and stay on God's side and recognize just who is causing all the trouble.
I thank my God that HE is in complete control of this Universe ultimately. Of course, I realize each of us make choices that either help us or hurt us....the point I am making is DO NOT ALLOW SATAN TO CAUSE FEAR IN YOU. PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT FEAR.
We can and we must trust our Lord God, stay in faith, pray HIS WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN, then we can rest in HIM because our trust is in HIM.
BE BLESSED

"The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work" (1 JN 3:8 NIV). I can't help thinking of this scripture. People so underrate this reason Jesus came. He won that victory on the cross for eternity. We are not defeated, the devil is, all reports to the contrary!
You are so right, Connie. God does not give us the Spirit of fear. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Tim. 1:7). When we pray and trust in Him, we can rest in Him.
