Look beyond the darkness,
The dawn's just up ahead,
The gloaming and the midnight
The rays of light will shed.
Uncertainty, anxiety,
Inhabits every thought,
The future seems so dark and bleak
And souls become distraught.
Evil hovers round the world
Tempting the soul to fear,
And dread awakes with each new day
The bad news we will hear.
It's God who holds the future,
He knows what's up ahead,
"Fear not"-- the most used phrase of all--
That's what His Son has said.
Look beyond the darkness,
The dawn's just up ahead,
A future bright and glorious
Before us He shall spread.
