Though night shadows lengthen
And dawn's far away,
I'll trust through the darkness
And wait for the day.
In sunshine or shadow
No need for alarm,
With Him watching o'er me
I'll come to no harm.
When doubts hold me captive
And my faith is dim,
I'll reach through the darkness
And hold on to Him.
He's promised to finish
What He has begun;
