With these words, mankind was forever changed! With these words, the course of humanity was eternally altered!
These seven words, which takes but a second to breathe, once and for all ages established the fact that Jesus is the resurrection and the life and all who believe in Him shall not perish but be alive forevermore!
HALLELUJAH!
With these seven words ... Heaven became more than wishful thinking - Heaven became our assured destination for faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord!
We celebrate THE RESURRECTION once a year (Easter) celebrating God's love which He proved through His Son, Jesus the Christ!
Millions of men perished by the cross ... so the death of Jesus proves nothing without the resurrection! Now, yes, the death of Christ established the atonement for our sins, but the end result of that atonement - - our eternity - - was forever guaranteed by God physically raising Jesus from the dead!
But with the resurrection His death proves that "God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son ..."
The resurrection proves the rest of that favorite passage: "... that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life!"
With these seven words, we are made able to believe and have faith in God's plan of salvation and we are set free from the bondage of vainly working to earn what only God can give ... our salvation for all eternity!
"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God."
(1 Peter 1:18-21 KJV)
"He is not here, but is risen!" These seven words are the ultimate and final proof of the message and ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Without these seven words, we can have no faith and are left without any true hope. But by these seven words our faith and hope and assurance are eternally established!
