To determine how quickly we are coming to the end of the Church Age is to but see the fulfilling of the warnings of Jesus and again by Paul …
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
2 Thessalonians 2:3
That day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Recently I came across some survey results that show we are in the very midst of what can only be called a “falling away” within the church community in America. What’s more, I believe that America is the last to experience this “falling away” when you consider that for decades – over a century – in some countries the other nations of the world have been “falling away” from God’s Truth and reality.
For many years, I was taught that this “falling away” meant people leaving the Church, as in no longer being members. In more recent years I have come to understand that it is not so much leaving the congregation as it is LEAVING (falling away from) THE TRUTH!
Just take a look at these statistics …
Most self-identified U.S. Christians are comfortable with the idea that the Bible and the sacred books from non-Christian religions all teach the same truths and principles!!!
People are falling away from TRUTH:
o “I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life! No man comes to the Father except by Me!” John 14:6
o We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2 Peter 1:19-21
o But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:8-9
71% of U.S. adults say they will develop their own slate of religious beliefs rather than accept a package of beliefs promoted by a church or denomination. (This translates to ONLY 29% accept a standardized belief system!)
“For they being ignorant of God's righteousness,
and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.”
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. Romans 16:17-18
Only 34% of U.S. adults believe in absolute moral truth. (This translates to 66% DO NOT believe in absolute moral truth!)
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:31-32
“… I am THE Way, THE Truth and THE Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me.”
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Just 19% U.S. born-again adults have a biblical worldview, which is unchanged in the past 15 years. In other words, 81% of Christians DO NOT have a Biblical worldview!
The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them. Psalms 10:4-5
The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit. Proverbs 12:5
Jesus gave us very direct insight into these times and very direct instructions regarding them …
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Luke 21:28
Were we even paying attention when these were just beginning to happen?
Were we even aware that these particular signs were significant and that change was in the wind?
Well this is not about recriminations. The important thing here is that these things have begun to happen and we must now do what Jesus instructed us to do!
Look UP! Lift up our heads (thoughts) and share the Gospel with the desperate world around us! Let us display the Gospel by our lives and let us be bold to declare our preparations to be physically and forever united with Christ Jesus our LORD!

The examples you gave on this topic is very good. We are indeed in the last days and i am concerned about the way people live. Holiness is not a famous world in churches today. We have so my psycologist as preachers today, "A message of feel good." is the norm in this century. I am not against feel good message but is that all there is to the word of God. Is time we get a well balanced message in the church and not messages that makes people feel good.
