I heard it again today
Sounded a lot like what I heard
Only yesterday
It was soft but stern
And I definitely felt
A lesson to learn
But I was busy today
Lot like I was hurried
Only yesterday
But the quiet voice
Well it seemed not to fade
It left me little choice
Walk away or obey
And time seemed to slow
When I let the voice rule my day
I feel eternal hopes and dreams
Forever strength with no sway
The quiet voice overrides my hurry
And my today becomes boundless
Limitless
The quiet voice of God
That’s what I had been too busy to hear
And His patience has taught me
To hold that quiet voice very dear
Too busy to hear the quiet voice of the Lord
Never that busy
Not even today
