Faith
I recently came across this line in Isaiah 52:7 “ How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news !” This line struck an indelible chord in my heart.
I pondered over this line and it dawned on me that it was not just the feet but how beautiful are the hands of those who write good news, how beautiful are the lips of those who preach good news, how beautiful are the ears of those who hear good news, how beautiful are the eyes of those who behold good news, how beautiful are the minds of those who think good news and how beautiful are the hearts of those who cherish good news.
I have always held on to my favorite grace liners in life:
1)“You will see God’s glory if you believe.” John 11:40
This line has helped me in the most difficult situations when there seemed to be no hope. I have recited this line as a prayer which worked wonders in overcoming problems.
2)“Lord your constant love is my guide, your faithfulness always leads me.” Psalms 26 :1-3
This is again a beautiful line reminding us of God’s loyalty to us forever. It is also a wonderful way of thanksgiving for graces received.
3)“ In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, I order you to get up and walk. “ Acts 3:6
St. Peter filled with the grace of God ordered the lame man sitting at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple to get up and walk. This line goes as a healing prayer, to ask God to cure those in sickness and distress.
It is so true that there is no other name, except the name of Jesus by which we can all be saved.
4)“ Your house will be my home as long as I live.” Psalms 23:6
This line is a consolation of a secure place together with the Lord.
5)“ My heart praises the Lord; my soul is glad because of God my Savior, for he has remembered his lowly servant.” Luke 1:46-48
We can never give enough thanks to Mother Mary for her role in creation, for bearing the Son of God and being our own Mother taking care of all our needs.
6)“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the mind of man to conceive what God has prepared for those who love Him.” I Corinthians 2:9
This line is a great promise of the heavenly life with all its beauty and wonders awaiting us.
7)“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.”
John 11:25
This line is a strong reminder of the everlasting life with the Risen Lord, forever in his love.
8)“I look up to the mountains, where will my help come from ? My help comes from the Lord who made Heaven and earth.” Psalms 121:1-2
This is my daily morning routine as I travel to work, to glance up at the long stretch of mountains, watch the heavenly birds flying around and follow the patterns of the clouds. Sometimes, I wish I could reach up my hand and touch the sky.
I have come to treasure these silent morning moments when I not only admire the beautiful nature created by God but can acutely feel the presence of God and his protective blanket that he spreads over the earth to cover us with his grace and protection. My help definitely comes from the Lord.
I can profoundly feel his strong grace flowing within me. It is during such encounters that at the end of the day, I can say to myself that today, I have seen God face to face.
