As promised, with just days to go until this year's winners are announced, here is the list of our top 15 Finalists. Please note, the only order of the list is reverse alphabetical.
The competition this year was quite impressive. Each of these top contenders has a lot of potential. There were also other entries that almost made it into the top 15; however, the entries listed below were just a little stronger at this point in time. (So if your entry is not in the list, don't be discouraged.)
Anyway, here are the Top 15 Finalists (in reverse alphabetical order) for the 2013 Fiction Page Turner Contest:
Voodoo Vanquishing Vixen by Harriett Ford (H.L. Ford)
Untimely Death by Dave Walker
Twenty/Twenty by George Parler
The Mystic Realms of Shadow Fox by Jim McWhinnie
The Grimmest by Kevin Ingram
The Flight of Josephine by Jody Bailey Day
Speed of Sight by Nancy Bucca
Scrambled Eggs by Mike Newman
Postcards from Abba Father by Debbie Roome
Mutti by Bobbie Ann Cole
Little Arrays of Sunlight by Glynis Becker
Hope's Child by Christina Banks
Her Father's Eyes by Sarah Elisabeth Sawyer
Clockwork Deacon by Rick Higginson
At the Water's Edge by Theresa Santy
The winners will be announced December 1.

Congratulations to all who participated in the challenge. I've decided win loose or draw I am still going to see this manuscript through to the end. My characters are depending on me.

Congratulations, everyone!
And I've said the same thing, George. I've never actually finished a piece of any real length, but this one just might make it

Okay... am I the only one that entered the first chapter from a finished story?

Re: Top 15 Finalists - Page Turner Contest 2013
I suppose next time the FIction Pageturner comes up, I'm going to have to try writing just the first chapter and synopsis of the story, and then finish it after the contest, just to see how that works for me.
I suspect, though, that my characters will nag the daylights out of me, and not let me wait until the results are announced, and - good or bad - I'll have to finish the story.
They can be such pests that way...

No, I co-wrote the submission that I put into the contest and it is finished in its rough form. We took an editing break until the contest was over. Now it is back to the grindstone! Congrats to the finalists and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Congratulations to the winners, finalists, and all who dared to enter!
Wouldn't it be awesome if every single one of us were to finish our novels, see them published, and hear countless stories of how God used our efforts for His purposes?! Even if they aren't published, I am sure that God can and will fulfill His purpose. Isn't that an awesome promise--to know that our efforts, fueled and fired by His grace, can never be wasted?
I hope all of you keep writing. I am so blessed to be able to take part and to be inspired, challenged, strengthened, and encouraged by Him through all of you.
