I think there is a skill in choosing the right title. I know that professional editors put big stock in helping an author find the exact title to help sell their book.
I've noticed that some Challenge titles draw me to click on that entry. Other times, I have come to the end of an article and said, "Yes, the title was perfect for that article."
Have you ever considered making the title part of the judging criteria?
I think it would be a good skill to develop.

Re: Titles
Hi Yvonne. I definitely know what you're saying because a good title is like a good cover. It draws the reader, and authors really should take time with selecting their title.
But, just like a good cover doesn't mean a great book, the same is true with the title. A high rating for a great title could skew the balance in favour of an otherwise fairly uncreative entry. It's the content that really matters. We can work on the title later, if necessary.
Love, Deb

Re: Titles
Yes, that makes sense. I suppose we could mention the titles when we comment, to encourage the authors to think about them.Deb Porter wrote: But, just like a good cover doesn't mean a great book, the same is true with the title.
