CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!

I am floored myself. I don't know what to say. Just getting a "highly commended" for the very first time is HUGE for me! I am so excited I feel like a little girl jumping up and down!

And this time I didn't get very many comments, so I thought it was no good.

Can you imagine what I would do if I actually got in the top three?

Bear has read about 50 entries so far, from Beginners up through Masters, and is VERY honored to be writing with all who enter this Challenge. Big Bear Heart was deeply touched and moved, over and over again, by the life situations, emotions, sensitivity, and Lord's love portrayed. Bear's walk with the Lord was strengthened and encouraged many times.

And Bear found many, many entries to learn writing skills from also, including a couple read at "Beginner's Level" who Bear feels write better than Bear does.

Bear would say more, but needs to go put band-aid on the bump on head from hitting the floor, shocked, when Bear saw she was mentioned in the standings. Bear thinks God's Grace worked a Bear Miracle, concerning that. But is thankful, and happy with what seems to be the Lord's confirmation (after a long period when Bear gave up on writing), that He really does want Bear to write for Him.

Congrats all! And looking forward to writing with you all in coming Challenges.

I am so happy my story placed - especially as I noticed after submitting that I switched to present tense in the last paragraph. The story is not true but I had a friend who had twin boys several years ago - one of them died at 3 days. On their first birthday, I said to her that it must be such an emotional time - celebrating one child's birthday and remembering another's death. She opened right up and said no one else had mentioned it to her and no one else talked about him - that after the first few weeks, no one acknowledged his life. I've never forgotten her pain over that. I really hope my story will encourage people to offer ongoing support to the bereaved.

Congratulations to all the winners with a special shout-out to Verna and Sheri and Carol and Ruth.

As always there are fabulous stories that didn't make the list, yet they are fabulous none-the-less. The wins and the losses are ALL fleeting, but thanks to those who take time to encourage others--that's the part that remains.

On we go . . .
