Re: Writing Easy Readers

I enjoyed this lesson, and I was especially interested in your website. I think I'll pass it on to someone I know who home schools. You offer a valuable service. :)

Re: Be a Better Writer--BE A BETTER READER

Re: Be a Better Writer--FIND YOUR OWN VOICE

I realize my opinion doesn't hold any weight here because I don't write fiction. But one reason I don't like to read fiction is because of all the descriptions. I don't have patience for it. Just get on with it and tell me what happens next. ;)

Re: Be a Better Writer--WORKING WITH AN EDITOR

I'm currently working with an editor. One thing I appreciate is that she asked for a sample first so she could get an idea about the work involved and then she sent me a quote based on that. It's good for both author and editor to know what to expect from the start. I assume you suggest double-spaci...

Re: Be a Better Writer--WORD CHOICE

At one time, I signed up for the "word of the day" e-mails at http://dictionary.reference.com/. I haven't heard of the vocabulary sites you mentioned. Very cool. I checked out both sites, and I hope others will, too. I struggle with health-related brain fog which makes word finding difficu...
